Presskon Persiapan APEC 2013 Di Bali / Prime Minister Najib Razak: This Has Been the Best APEC Event








Nusa Dua, APEC 2013 – Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak, congratulated Indonesia, particularly the President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, for its success in hosting the 2013 APEC Summit.
 
"This is the best APEC [meeting]. I’ve noticed that the preparation had received a lot of personal input from the president himself,” said Najib Razak during the Malaysia-Indonesia bilateral meeting with President Yudhoyono at the Sofitel Hotel, Nusa Dua, on Tuesday (8/10). The meeting was held at 2 p.m. (Central Indonesian Time) after a press conference on the outcome of the 2-day APEC Summit, of the  7-8 October 2013.

Meanwhile, President Yudhoyono concurred with what was said by Prime Minister, especially on the subject of research development to increase productivity.

"I agree with what you have said that good research development is needed to increase productivity,” said President Yudhoyono to Prime Minister Najib Razak.

President Yudhoyono also stated that Indonesian-Malaysian relations have continued to improve even though sometimes issues would spring up. “Alhamdulillah, our relations keep improving. As neighbouring countries we will always face issues. However, insya Allah, all of them can be settled amicably,” added President Yudhoyono.

Meanwhile, during the Indonesia-Malaysia bilateral meeting, Prime Minister Najib Razak was accompanied by the Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry, Dato Mustapa Mohamed; Secretary General of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia, Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria; and Malaysian Ambassador for Indonesia, Dato Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim. 

Meanwhile, President Yudhoyono was accompanied by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, Djoko Suyanto; the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Hatta Rajasa; State Secretary, Sudi Silalahi; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marty Natalegawa; the Minister of Industry, MS.
